BangKok - Day 1

Caught a cold the day before catching the plane so well, I was still sneezing
and coughing in the plane.. The chinese(Singaporean Uncle) sitting beside me
gave me a disgusted look when I coughed and immediately put on a mask.
Damn, I think he must be thinking that I'm a H1N1 carrier! Anyway he was boasting to the ladies that he frequent BangKok once a MONTH! When asked whether its cos of work commitment, he said he's retired and he goes there once a month cos of his love for Thai food.
Thai Food? Hmm.. Looking at him, I can already imagine him
checking into a hotel with 2 underage Thai boys. :)

Ok.. Anyway the 1st day in Bangkok was pretty idle..
Checked into Holiday Inn and I'm pretty impressive with the hotel.. Room is pretty big and there's SPORTS channel!!! Finally can catch some 'live' EPL games..
Anyway we spend the day shopping ard our hotel area
maining Gayson Plaza, Chitlom Central, Central world etc..

Bangkok - Day 2

Woke up at 8am BK time and chiong all the way to Mo Chit Station to Chatuchak Market!
Yup, this is a must come market and basically everything can be purchased here at a great price(and great bargain)!! Loved some of the street food that we have here and the Phad Thai is GOOD!! and it cost like S$1.50 per plate. Cheap Cheap!
Broke my record this time round as we shopped here for 6 long hours!!!
Yup, went back to the hotel to offload our purchase
, took a 30 mins rest before we hire a cab to H1 building to
supposedly check out some designer stuff. But end up nothing much was available thus we just explore the area, walked a lot and hang out at this Greyhound Cafe... Food was much cheaper than I had expected. Cool! :)
I love the cafe and dining atmosphere in BangKok.. Singapore gotta learn!

Bangkok - Day 3

Day 3 was spend shopping at Siam Paragon, Siam Discovery centre and Siam Square..
Shopping, Shopping and more shopping!!
And also to Suam Lum night market for more shopping!!!
and I also got my well deserved foot massage!! :)
Highlight of the day was the Tuk Tuk ride to Suam Lum!

Bangkok - Day 4

Day 4 was spend exploring ard MBK area and yup,
highlight of the day was spend watching Avatar 3D!!!! Cool!!!
2nd time watching movies in Thailand as again,
all gotta rise before the show starts for the national anthem.

Home sweet home!!!

Today Christmas celebration and tmr flying to Bangkok.

I shall take my beloved flu pill and enjoy feeling dizzy..

and hope i recover fast..

Bought relatives to Marina Barrage last fri for a walk..

Fall in!

Finally met up with my ex campmates few days back for coffee @ AMK hub.

It was great meeting Alan, Elson and Faizal after so many years..
Chit chat for a while, catch up a bit and its real interesting
and amusing to talk abt our days back in 2PDF.
Also interesting to know abt the current status of some of the mates..
Some are already married, some have turned straight, some have finally come out of the closet and some are having pretty impressive work resume now..
Interesting.. Will definitely make the effort to keep in contact with them.

since majority of the bosses are clearing their leave! ha..
Dec tends to be pretty lull in the office unless u gotta prepare presentation and stuff.

Ok, so how was my weekend?
Hmm.. Yesterday Wifey and I finally managed to bring Grandpa,grandma and 四姨

out for lunch..
Been planning to do this for months and we decided to bring them out for Dim Sum..
Where? where else but East Ocean!
Personally think they serve the best Dim Sum in Singapore(some say JB).
Yup, best to dine there during the weekends where the atmosphere is totally HK style!
Told wifey that I wanna take some pic of the Dim Sum but the way we ordered the food was like fast and furious.. Ha.. so well.. no pic of the food at all!

Afterwhich brought them to walk walk a bit at Orchard Ion to check out the 'indoor' christmas tree and had Ya Kun(the old folks loved the coffee) @ 313 before heading home!

Today was pretty idle. Went vivo after church to get a birthday present for my student Aaron. We'll be attending his Ice Age Theme Birthday party next sat..
Ha.. Think it will be interesting.. My 1st time attending a children's party!

Woke up pretty early last sat.. and decided to jalan jalan at Raffles place..

Walked a bit.. no inspiration to take pics..
walked a bit, trying my luck to find the boatman that
I photographed almost 6 months back
but didn't see him at his usual booth.
Decided to just walk ard boat quay and as i walked past another booth,
ha, the boatman is actually there..
He actually still rem me!!
Talked to him for abt 30 mins..
Understand that his kids are all working overseas
and now he's just working to kill time..
Nice man, i would say. I'll definitely visit him again..

This is cheaper than GV popcorn club.. Guess this is gonna be my new haunt.

Anyway the show is pretty ok, personally i would give it a 3 out of 5.

But, i'm still looking forward to eclipse which I think should be more exciting.

Saw the thriller for this movie called Avatar.

Movie is directed by James Cameron.

Scenes/storyline looks pretty impressive.

Prob the next show to watch?

Ok, this post is a little bit late..

Kinda bored on a fri evening @ home, so decided to do a tiny shoot
on the gifts that I've gotten for Wifey's birthday..

1st up is this weird looking cushion/soft toy that I've got from Gallate La Boca.
Supposedly made in Spain and i think its pretty unique.. I think. haha..
I kinda like the gift wrapper that was provided by the shop.
Interesting looking cartoons and the skeleton looks pretty Paul Frank..
( dun u think so? :) )

Also gotten Wifey a pair of earrings which..
Hmm.. I'm pretty lousy at picking up ladies accessories...
and well, perhaps this earrings are a little too girly for wifey..
Ha.. Shld look for some skeleton design earrings in future..

The week is coming to a close..
All major meetings for this calender are already cleared..
So.. Now i'm just looking forward to Christmas
and of course, the long awaited Bangkok trip with wifey and her bros.
