Blessed that outta blue, Naomi & I ended up at some lantern festival event near my in law place. Even thou we did not have any coupons to exchange for some old sch lantern, the organizer was very kind to give Naomi a lantern set. Fixed it up and Naomi was super eager to follow the whole gang of Yishun residents with a walkathon around the neighborhood. There was a dragon dance thingy going on and in fact, everybody was just following the tail of the dragon as we made our stroll, prob a 200 meter walk with our lanterns. 1st time having this lantern walk with Naomi and I gotta say, it really feels good and this is also a good reminder that I gotta treasure the time that I've got with Naomi cos she's really growing up too fast.
Naomi, PaPa loves you very much.

God Bless

GOD bless that Dad is already back home and seems to be on the road to recovery. Hope that he is able to completely recover and that he experiences no more falls.

爷爷, Pls get well soon. We want you to play with us.

...

And just when we thought that Dad can be discharged last weekend, things take an abrupt turn for the worst on sat... We were told by the nurses that Dad suddenly removed his drip and tried to run out of the ward and it took 6-7 nurses to hold and carry my dad back to his bed. He then shut himself by refusing to eat, look or respond to the nurses.. This was very sudden and definitely unexpected as I was still having good conversations with him the day before and he was looking real good and healthy then. Yet now, he is even refusing to talk to us.. He would use all his strength to shut his eyes and Doc got no choice but to put him on drip(glucose) as he is refusing to take any food.
Brain CT & MRI was done and results did not show anything abnormal so even the Doc doesn't know what to do.. I visited Dad yest and surprisingly he appeared to be back to normal and we could chat well and he even asked me to inform my mum & bro that he is well.. But today the Doc informed me that Dad is in shutdown mode again and this was verified by my bro when he visited in the evening..
In a total loss now... ...

Getting better, i hope.

Great news from the Doc that my dad can be discharged most prob this weekend. So after all the checks and scans, they diagnose that my dad is suffering from Gallstone Bladder and bacteria in the blood. Pneumonia wise, there is still slight trace of it but they are using the same antibiotics treatment to remedy it. So far, the readings from my Dad's blood test shows +ve sign of improvement but ultimately a keyhole surgery is still required to remove the gallstone in abt 2 months time. Visited Dad today and he was extremely chatty and alert compared to the past few days. Very happy to see him like this. He even said that he wanna look for a part time work as a form of exercise when he recovered. :) Super glad to hear this from him considering that the only thing he used to do back home was Zzzz.. Anyway priority is for him to recover and lead a more healthy and active lifestyle.

why?

Its been a bad 2015 for my loved ones... Mum's having stage 3 cancer and now Dad is suddenly fighting a pneumonia battle in CGH... Happened too sudden till I dunno how to react.. Dad was still pretty active last weekend and we only heard him complaining of gastric pain few days back and today he is in A&E after mum found him lying on the bedroom floor. CT scan ongoing now but Doc is already suspecting that there's already damage to his lungs, kidney, liver and gastric area.
Things are not looking good.
