1 year wiser!

Happy Birthday to my Wifey & mother in law. Even though I've been in sch since 7am, I'm still glad that I could take some time away to get a cake to celebrate with them before Zzz. Quick post before i go for my revision again.

The paper on Monday was a real disaster... Tot that I had prepared pretty ok going into the exam hall but super devastated when I did the paper.. Crossing my fingers that everyone find it tough as well and the prof moderates the scoring..

In the mist of preparing for my final paper and this had gotta be the toughest formula sheet that I'm preparing in my NUS days.. Just done up part 1 and I still have part 2 to go... Not forgetting abt the 6 tutorials as well...

And it's worse that today is 28th Nov... Normally I would be out shopping for Wifey's present but yet I am stuck doing my formula and can't celebrate with wifey tmr... And also super guilty that I can't accompany Naomi to KK for today's appt... Damn.

1217am and I'm still at my new place preparing for my paper tmr... Hopefully the exams will be kind to me... Gonna start revising for the final paper after tmr's paper and I think that will be much worse considering that we can't catch what our prof was teaching the entire sem! Positive thing is that lab weightage carries 40% and I believe I did pretty alrite for the labs.

Last Burst of fire for this 2 weeks of sch... Feeling real tired doing my revision and i think it's only going to get worse... Doesn't help that I have absolutely no time to run and is suffering from sore throat n perhaps flu...

MONSTER!

Went to 'The Arcade' to change some Thai Baht for our Jan trip... Heard a lot of talks on the better rates at Arcade and i am quite surprised to see more than 10 money exchange joint in the arcade. Quite mountain turtle lah... and indeed the rates are better than other exchanges.. :)

Oh... and we decided to try this eatery called Monster Curry and i guess based on the serving and plating, you know where the Monster name comes from... Its huge huge huge... huge plate with huge servings... Not very cheap but acceptable for 2, i guess... The fried fish was very fresh but the pork was too tough for our liking.. anyway its great to have spend some private time with Wifey. :)

Bravo~ And finally i have concluded my FYP with the final presentation this evening!!! And again, my prof did the classic by being late and making my examiner and me wait for 30 mins! haha..
but all is fine, he did help and support me when my examiner asked me a pretty tough question that i had difficulty answering... I'm not expecting very good grades for this but for now, i shall try to focus on my 2 remaining papers which are pretty killers!

On leave at my new place alone is pretty pretty boring... can't be help as I'm rushing my final lab report hopefully to be submitted tonite and i really hope that i can start to prepare my FYP slides too... Time is running out!

Thor!

Sometimes work + taking care of naomi + different opinion + other stuff really takes a toll on the relationship so its good to slot in some couple time which i think does help.
So we managed to watched Thor on a weekday afternoon and i thought the show was pretty good.. much better than Thor 1 and it helps that I'm able to bring in smoothie from Smoothie king for the show!

TCM

Naomi's been on TCM medication since she was 1-2 months old.. Dun think it shld be called medication cos its more of some form of body conditioning/strengthening powder. So far, I guess it pretty much works for Naomi as she's seldom sick comparing to what I see on FB with other kids having fever pretty frequently.. God bless.. Naomi's gonna enter playgroup next yr and as much as she's gonna be exposed to more frds which is good.. but i guess she's also gonna be exposed to more germs too... *think hfmd*... scary thoughts.
Anyway, no pt worrying abt all these... Just gotta make sure we do our part and up her defence and leave the rest to God.

& Naomi turns 2 today... Goosh... Time & Tide really waits for no man!!! 2 yrs ago at this exact date, we were still in Thompson Medical!!

I'm really thankful to God for keeping Naomi safe and healthy for these past yrs and we are really happy and blessed to have Naomi as our child. My wish is for Naomi to grow up healthy and happy. That's the only thing that matters to me. :)

This week also marks the 1st time that Naomi tasted birthday cakes... As much as it appears that she seems to enjoy eating cakes, we are still gonna try our best to watch her food intake and minimize her having 'outside' food with all the unhealthy msg etc.. Anyway when she goes to pri 1, i believe she will be exposed to all the junk food available. So yup... and still we are gonna stick to the no TV/electronic device at home for her which i think is a good thing cos she spends her time listening to audio cds and pestering my mum/bro in law to read her storybooks!

Anyway we spend Naomi's birthday with my in laws and relatives at S.E.A which i think is a very very over rated place... Still a good day for Naomi's birthday.. oh, and we managed to get a $1.50 'cake' for Naomi today... ha.. cos i insisted that birthday is never complete without cakes + blowing of candles. :)

Reunion after 4 yrs

And so last week, my pri/sec school mate, Au Yeong made a visit to Singapore from UK. The last visit was 4 yrs ago and he din changed much.. but he is so so much taller than me... and I recalled that he was rather tiny during pri/sec school days... damn.. what did he eat and what have i not been eating!!!

Anyway it was a great meetup and I brought him to Bugis+ Champion Ramen since he said that he couldn't find good ramen joint in UK. As usual, Champion Ramen din disappoint... Afterwhich we made a long walk to Army market for him to get some military stuff before we made our way home.

Its a great meetup and I'm glad that I managed to find some time to send him off at the airport.
