New Yr Madness~

New Yr visiting madness resume this year as we visited 6 household today!!! Its pretty tiring but then again, this is a family tradition for us in the sense that my bro and I follow our parents for visiting since we were young and now that we are married, so we thought that we should not let this tradition die away and we should just continue with this tradition. Some photos from today. :)

P.S : I think camera phone is slowly 'killing' my photography as I tend to snap on the go more frequently now and less willing to bring out my huge DSLR.. :(

We always enjoy our meal at 8th Treasure Vegetarian Restaurant but this time round, it was pretty disappointing in the sense that they seems to have shrink the portion of their food pretty significantly. I guess it could be due to CNY but probably we'll find another joint to go to next year.

Lunar New Year Eve

Being Lunar New Year Eve, I was able to drive my opc and fetch Naomi from her pre school. Its always nice to be able to fetch my little one. :) Even tho the schedule for today is pretty tight due to the reunion dinner, we still managed to have lunch with wifey and my bro in law at Marche. Tried getting my bro in law to help us take a family photo but Naomi was just not looking into the cam plus the shutter speed of the mobile cam isn't the fastest.. Anyway we had a quick lunch, went back to Yishun to change Naomi's clothes before going back to Pasir Ris to have reunion dinner with my bro and my folks. Every year we have vegetarian steamboat and even tho i'm not a fan of veggie food, but it's real nice sitting down as a family and just have a meal together. Always treasure such moments... And nice to see Naomi being goofy and warming up to my bro and sis in law... We then went to Bishan to chit chat and have some light bites with my In Law family before going home... Tmr's gonna be a bz day...

As we have encountered problems with Naomi being less than willing to have my Bro in law bringing her to sch and still being a cry baby on the way to school, I've decided to get a variety of stickers and ink stamps to keep her entertained throughout the journey. So what I did is that I'll cut the stickers into groups of abt 4 stickers each and every night or morning, I'll let her choose one group of stickers for her to play in the train. So far this works and she's super happy whenever its time to choose her stickers. I'll still very happy that Naomi is contented and having fun with these than electronic gadgets. :)

Ginseng!

Met up with Laoshi and Chun for a birthday meal for Chun and super belated one for Miao. Reached Orchard pretty early and had some fries at Cineleisure... The name of the joint is "Best Fries Forever"... very cheesy name but the fries are actually pretty good.. kinda similar to Carls Junior but with a variety of real cheesy dips to go along with.

They have this voting system where you can choose whether you like their cheese fries or not.. And based on what i see, not very impressive results hor.. haha

Lousy run!

After a break, made a wrong choice to resume running today during lunch time under the ultra HOT sun... Even with my shades on, I felt extremely HOT and it was super tough to run.. In the end, I only managed 5km instead of my usual 10km... rather low morale and i actually pondered whether I should give the 2XU a miss..

On course for some Cultural study on China and it was quite an informative course on the history and culture of China. As informative as it was, the theory was super dry too... and its especially hard to stay awake after lunch.. We were also taught on China dining etiquette and had a actual 8 course lunch where each of us had to role play as officials or guests of the 'banquet'. The lunch was super filling as I believe the portion was meant for 10 pax tables while we only had 8 pax on our table. Ok.. some photos taken today..

So as usual we brought Naomi to her Sat lesson at TPY but this time, I sat in with Naomi cos Wifey had an appt at Liang Court to do up her hair.. I think the myth of the terrible 2s is kinda turning true cos Naomi is starting to behave pretty wild.. She would sometimes shout nooooooooooo or immediately have a meltdown when she doesn't get what she wants.. I'm still trying very hard to be the calm dad and talk to her and reason with her nicely.. but i guess if she insist to 'bully' me, i gotta resort to the cane... But having said that, I'll still explain to her that we love her and why we have to cane her.

It was a good 2 days of bonding period between Naomi and me and I loves every sec of it. :)
It can be tiring but its definitely worth it.
