lousy week... rushing rushing rushing my FYP report... need this final burst of fire for my report... Hope to be able to take 2 x half day to do it cos I'm really running out of time/inspiration.. and being rather bad at Ang mo doesn't help either.. argh!!!

On a side note, I'm meeting my pri/sec school mate, Au Yeong this evening for dinner.. He's back from UK for a week only and its pretty bad timing for me but well, he's my good old frd and no matter what, gotta squeeze in a dinner catch up.

Just when Naomi was abt to sleep tonite, Wifey's managed to make Naomi laugh like there is no tmr! At this stage of time, toddlers are just so so innocent and they find joy/laughter in the simplest things. If only we adults can learn from them, the world would be a better place to live in.

Goosh... I really wish that things could move on more smoothly for the week especially for today...
Oh.. and I skipped today's afternoon gym for a Mac lunch instead... sinful sinful... To make myself less guilty, I had special order for the fries to be without salt and coke replaced by hot milo... :) Self denial mode!

Goosh... I actually overslept this morning and missed my run yet again.. This means that i've only ran 10km this week... Gotta pull up my socks and stick to my exercise regime next week when my reservist ends!

Today is 1 real lousy reservist day that I had. I suppose God wants me to learn lessons the hard way.
I could have chosen the easy way out but I decided not to. Was that a wrong decision to begin with?
Damn sucky day but I can be glad that I have Naomi to accompany me to do some gardening and cheer me up with her innocent smiles/laughter...

Brunetti @ Tanglin mall

Since early this year, Brunetti have been on my "cafe to try" list but somehow we just din get to dine there. I heard pretty good reviews on this dining place and so last sunday, we finally managed to try their dessert after a walkabout at Botanical gardens. Ambiance wise, I really like it and their layout of the variety of desserts seems very impressive too.. We were rather spoilt for choice and in the end we decided to try the cronut(lastest in thing) and the Julio Cesare. Cronut wise, I have rather high expectations cos I read that in Singapore, Brunetti is one of the cafe that makes top notch Cronut.. however, I find it so so only... i mean, its just a donut with some filing as the middle layer... As for Julio Cesare, i find it pretty alrite.. the taste is refreshing and its just nice for a dessert. Return again? hmm.. most likey not.

Botanical Gardens

Sunday we brought Naomi to Botanical gardens to have a walk as we thought it would be nice to have some outdoor activities instead of hanging ard air con malls. We parked at Tanglin Mall, fed Naomi at Starbucks before walking over to Botanical gardens.. It was a good 20 mins walk with nice cooling weather on our side. I always love nature and its also very nice to see Wifey and Naomi enjoying the great outdoor... Taking off the shoes and walking on the grass patch is just heavenly. Gonna have more of such outings! Ok.. some pics from the outing.

walkathon

Yesterday we had a bit of a walkathon cos we parked at Haji Lane, loitered ard the shops... walked to City hall for dinner and then back to Haji Lane to collect the car.. haha... Training of the arms for me cos Naomi is not really into walking recently! And yesterday's crowd at Haji was pretty mad.. Dun see any special event going on but there's so many people... economy booster, i guess.
I love my weekends! Looking forward to the public holiday on Tuesday!!!

Date Nite Oct 2013

Gave Wifey a surprise and brought her to Carousel for our date nite dinner. This is my 3rd-4th visit and Wifey's 1st visit to Carousel. Carousel is a halal buffet restaurant and I totally love the seafood spread and desserts corner. I think its worth every penny and Wifey totally deserves the treat. :) We tried almost all the varieties of the dishes and we spend almost 2 hrs there! The place also got very good customer service as i find them very genuine in the way they attended to and served the customers. 5 stars!!!

Spend yest nite driving ard yishun with my laptop and sch loaned tablet... The pattern goes drive - stop - data monitoring - change coding & recompile and this routine repeats for at least an hr.. And the worst thing is to find out that the result is not ideal and I have to repeat this sequence again this evening....

Brought Naomi to our Yishun new place to water the plants yesterday... I realised that in house plants can't really survived if we only water it once a week.. shall have to attempt to maintain it at least twice a week. Ha.. and its quite a challenge to carry Naomi with my 5D2 and take a bus to our new place!
And as usual, Naomi enjoying herself to the max and I do enjoy the bonding too. :)

Jogged with my bro in law last night from Yishun to Sembawang and back and I am shag shag shag.. As much as I'm training 3 times a week, I realised that my 10km runs doesn't get easier with more practice..
In terms of physique, I've burned off quite a bit of fats and now whats left is the stubborn love handle and tummy lah... I guess that's the hardest to burn and from today onwards I shall try to maintain healthy diets at least for weekdays.. Keep on running + cycling!!!

Oh, and now I'm aiming for this adult kick scooter.. This is the Town 7 XL adult scooter and this is the most budget scooter that I can find compared to other adult scooter... Most likely gonna get this as a mode of transport for me to shutter my mini velo between home & in law place in the wee hours of the nite/day. :)

and so today I went for a ad hoc nite ride, exploring the PCN from yishun all the way till Woodlands Waterfront... It was pretty much a lonely ride.. Along the way esp near Woodlands checkpt, I see quite a lot of foreign workers mainly banglas sitting on the pavement and prob just waiting for the time to pass.. I do feel for them... And i feel really blessed to have a stable job that doesn't require me to be away from Singapore, blessed that I'm surrounded with frds/activities which kept me occupied.. Blessed that God prepared what I need in my entire life...
I just hope that these workers can finish their work assignment here, save enough money and go back to their loved ones. May God bless them.

I think a lot of people(including me) often take for granted what GOD have already blessed us with and we seldom give thanks or appreciate the little things in life.

Children's Day 2013

Today is children's day and since Naomi isn't fully recovered from her cough yet, I decided to just bring her for a stroll at the park opposite our place and have a run at the neighbourhood playgrd. I was thinking whether I should get her a present or bring her somewhere nicer but frankly speaking today's little outing is more than enough for us. And these are things that money can't buy. :)
I hope that Naomi and I can always have this special Daddy-Daughter bond even when she's all grown up.

P.S : Naomi's still not peeing... so my once in a blue moon rewarding system isn't working. 

I really really dun like to use the approach of " you do this and i reward you with this " kinda system on Naomi but sometimes its really a matter of whether there is a choice or not... and also on how critical the situation is... so for tmr, I will be trying it.. and I hope this is the 1st and last time that I'm using this rewarding system on Naomi..

and so i miss tonite's jog cos i was playing with Naomi during her bedtime.. Its all worth it cos kids grows up so so fast... And its really feels good playing with Wifey + Naomi and hearing her laugh like nobody biz...
