Abt 6 months back, I bought a Mini Velo Bicycle MV7 and now a MV8 is gonna be on sale in the market soon! Bicycle is just like any other electronic products where new models goes into the market rather quickly. As for me, I am quite pleased with my MV7 although a couple more speeds would be great.
Had a evil plan to upgrade to a Shimano Groupset(20 speed!!) and 451 wheelset but the total cost is rather damaging to my depleting bank acc... so I'll just be realistic and probably just upgrade to a bigger OEM crank for less than $100.

Worst judgement and investment by far~

Time flies and we are already in the last weekend of 2012..

and out of the blue, my new place comes into my mind. We gotten the keys since last June and till now, we have yet to moved in.. Now the place functions more like a party house to host gatherings once in a blue moon and also function as a quiet place for me to do revision during exam times..

Personally I find it a real damn pity not to have moved in and i really dun see a realistic timeline to move in.

I can't help but feel that the effort and $$$ invested in the new place is a real huge ass mistake...
Mistake in the sense that it is so so so much under utilized..

We paid good hard earned money to engage a good ID to renovate the place.
We paid good hard earned money to get good electronic appliances.
We paid good hard earned money to scout and purchase whatever things you see in the house.

IF I COULD GO BACK IN TIME AND FORESEE THE FUTURE...
(1) I will still buy the current unit but I will not renovate it at all.
(2) I will just buy basic brands electronic appliances and furniture knowing that its gonna be under utilized afterall.

In a nutshell, this is good $$$ wasted.

Gotten my precious sem results via sms yesterday.
Gotta thank God that I've gotten A, B and B-. I was so worried about my RF modules cos I only managed to complete 2 out of 4 questions and I guess the quiz/assignment really helps me to secure a B.
Frankly speaking, for the whole sem, I could not understand a single bit on what the lecturer was teaching abt RF.. I really gotta buck up for the coming sem(FINAL YEAR!!!) and start asking questions whenever i have doubts!!!
Bidding starts next week followed by starting of the new sem on the following week... Cheong ah!!!
0.03 from reaching a 2nd lower!!! I can do it and must aim for 2nd higher!!

just did a 80km cycle this morning after a 1 month plus break..
cycled the route of yishun-punggol-pasir ris-ecp and back via bedok.. super shack out but the weather was superb.. cooling and yet it din rained..
Thinking of whether to get a road bike... heehee... evil thoughts which i believe it will only remain as a thought only..
Ok, also nursing a sore throat and trying to fix an appt to do some checks on my teeth...

best outing of 2012

The best family outing of 2012 had to be today!

Yup, today.. although it was nothing elaborate or planned.
We(Wifey, Naomi & me) had wanted to go to the pop up flea market opposite Fortune Centre but I got the place mixed up and end up parking at Haji Lane instead. So I thought well, since we are already here then perhaps we can window shop ard Haji before walking to the flea mkt. It was drizzling then but luckily we have this huge ass race queen umbrella to nicely shelter the 3 of us.. and as we were walking pass Bussorah St, we thought perhaps we can check out B Bakery since the rain is getting heavy and so we ended inside B Bakery.. Its a real tiny and cosy cafe and basically the cafe was empty except for us and another pair of customers. Naomi had the normal cafe chair instead of the baby high chair and she was in a real cheerful mood, smiling and waving to the staff while Wifey and I were enjoying the ambience and having 2 slices of cakes. Coincidentally, the music at B Bakery was superb... real nice soft soothing music amid the heavy downpour outside.. The feeling was just simply amazing.. just the 3 of us enjoying the afternoon away...
Rather emo but i love my babes!!!

Met up with couple of my gay friends yesterday @ my place.. It's like an annual event now to have a food/drink session at my place.. super great catchup and we actually played monopoly deal till 2am!!! and for the record, i was the big winner with 5 WINS!!! Hooooo... home ground advantage, i guess.

2nd day in Bangkok and I am missing Naomi...
It helps when I go on Facebook and managed to see some updated photos of Naomi taken by my bro in law.. Looking forward to skype with Naomi tmr morning if everything works out well.

Anyway we went to chatuchak market this morning.. Only was there for less than 4 hrs and I think we barely covered 1/3 of the market.. Anyway since this is a buddies trip, so I guess it's really abt the companionship rather than hardcore shopping... Also explored a bit of central world and I think I really have no fate with platinum fashion mall... Many years back I reached the mall too early n the shops were not opened yet while today I reached the mall at 6+pm to find the shops starting to close for the day.. Really no fate..
Anyway had BBQ + Shabu dinner at central world before we went back to the hotel...
N the nite have not end yet... 11+pm and we still leave the hotel to find a foot massage joint to reward out feet for the whole day of walking walking... Foot massage for just 240baht... Dirt cheap again..
Probably we'll go for one more round of massage tmr before flying back to my little girl on Monday...

Today last paper sucks big time but well.. It's over n I am in Bangkok with my buddies now..
Just came back from patong n wifey is bathing now..
Had a great time drinking at patong.. Beer are dirt cheap.. Just imagine paying S$26 for a 3 litre beer tower.. This is real cheap compared to drinking in Singapore..
Anyway Patong is as sleazy as ever with lotsa ah go go bar with mostly less than desired ladies dancing on the bar top with only bikinis on.. Haha..
And we had our dinner by the roadside that cost us less than S$2 each.. Yes, it's that cheap for a bowl of soup Thai noodles which taste real heavenly... And of coz we had our fair share of street food such as Fried mini drumstick, BBQ sticks n fried wanton which taste GOOD!

Tomorrow's my last paper for this sem and it's making me camp at my new place for this whole week.. Studying from 10am till 11pm+.. Siong Siong.. I hate Radio Frequency... It haunted me in poly days n now it's back to haunt me in NUS!

Tomorrow paper ends at 1130pm and after that wil be rushing off to the airport to catch the flight to the Land Of Smiles! It's been 3-4 years since our last visit to Bangkok n even though I am thrilled to have this trip together with team bravo, I am sure that I am going to miss Naomi badly.. And it doesn't help that I got no camera phone to FaceTime with Naomi..

Looking forward to bring Naomi along for holidays next year!
