Usual weekends outing at my parents place... Love to go back cos I only get to see my parents once a week and i think its a great bonding time for Naomi and my folks! Nowadays once the car drove into the estate's car park, Naomi will say ' Nai Nai house'... once Naomi enters the house, Mum will give her a big hug and Naomi will rush into my mum's room to get her usual barang barang to play.. This includes playing with balls, colouring and some plastic fruits to play with! Its only during this period of time that Wifey and I sometimes could take in a 1-2 hr nap. heehee.. And I'm looking forward to planning once in a while sleepover at my parents place when my schedule is more free.... Think my parents & Naomi will be thrilled! :)
changing from her little dress to sometime more comfy!

Dearest Mum! Best Cook ever!

Yummy lunch as usual!

giving me a silly grin when i said smile!

color pencils which I got for Naomi

and for the x num of times, I said yup, I've been having a strict running regime, don't worry i'm not ill and oh, my beer belly is still there. This is my response to anyone who tells me that I am getting rather lightweight nowadays. Hmm.. I need to start getting to the gym to do some light weights.. Light cos i wanna prevent any back injury and prob it could shape up the body a bit... argh.. Ultimate goal is still to trim my beer belly!!!

alarm went haywire!

Naomi woke up at 5am this morning.. yelling for me to wake up and said that she wants to take photo!
argh..... This gal is ready to go into the timing for actual day wedding photography.

Sunday Service

We try to make it a point to attend every Sunday Church Service especially after we have Naomi and I'm pretty proud to say that Naomi have been attending service since she's 1 month old. Initially we were concerned that she might be noisy at times and could indirectly disrupt the service but we were assured by our pastor then that it's not a problem as church is like a family and its normal for a family to have kids and normal for kids to make noise. So far, Naomi have been pretty shy and well mannered in church.. and of coz the little toys that she played with during service helps too!

Dylan is getting real real cute!

haha... Naomi trying to hug Dylan and Dylan not looking very comfy..

fiddling with the toys..

530am jog!

Woke up at 5 am this morning to complete my 10km jog.. Its actually quite nice to run early in the morning cos its rather cooling and there isn't much pedestrians/cyclists getting into your path. Its the waking up that's tough thou.

To Tattoo or Not To?

This is a question many Christians struggle with. I believe tattooing falls into the category of "disputable matters" where the Bible is not clear. But wait a minute, you might be thinking. The Bible says in Leviticus 19:28, "Do not cut your bodies for the dead, and do not mark your skin with tattoos. I am the Lord." (NLT) How much clearer can that be?
It's important, however, to look at the verse in context. This passage in Leviticus, including the surrounding text, is specifically dealing with the pagan religious rituals of the people living around the Israelites. God’s desire is to set his people apart from other cultures. The focus here is prohibiting worldly, heathen worship and witchcraft. God forbids his holy people to engage in idolatrous, pagan worship and sorcery which imitates the heathens. He does this out of protection, because he knows this will lead them away from the one true God.
It's interesting to observe verse 26, "Do not eat meat that has not been drained of its blood," and verse 27, "Do not trim off the hair on your temples or trim your beards." Well, certainly many Christians today eat non-kosher meats and get haircuts without participating in the forbidden worship of pagans. Back then these customs were associated with pagan rites and rituals. Today they are not.
So, the important question remains, is getting a tattoo a form of pagan, worldly worship still forbidden by God today? My answer is, this matter is disputable, and should be treated as aRomans 14 issue.
If you are considering the question, "To tattoo or not to?" I think the more serious questions to ask yourself are: What are my motives for wanting a tattoo? Am I seeking to glorify God or draw attention to myself? Will my tattoo be a source of contention for my loved ones? Will getting a tattoo cause me to disobey my parents? Will my tattoo cause someone who is weak in the faith to stumble?

For me, its the last sentence from the para above that is stopping myself from getting inked for the time being... such dilemma...

kick scooter NOT

Initially I was thinking of getting an adult kick scooter that I could scoot to work from the nearest bus stop but after reading the reviews, realized that its more suitable for city scooting with smooth surface pavement... and its totally not suitable and is actually dangerous for the roads condition that I'll be using on due to the uneven surface and countless stones n bumps along the way. Yup, idea thrown out of my head and saved some money too. :)

made a short stop at my place to water the plants and I gave in to the temptations of Vodka + coke and a big bag of cheeseballs tibits... Goosh!!! Tmr gotta run run run!!!

On a side note, I'm pleased that I'm maintaining 3 jogs a week and i really hope that i can keep this routine going!
Its been a tough day..

But I try to remind myself that if Jesus could carry the cross for us and still suffer a great deal of injustice, who am I to complain abt the injustice that I felt?

Brainy Child Montessori it shall be!

Abt 3 months back, we were frantically short listing and looking for playgroup for Naomi to be enrolled in for 2014.. It was a hectic period where we did quite a bit of travelling...
Some criteria that comes into my mind when it comes to the selection of centres includes..
(1) Teacher - student ratio
There are centres that have a ratio of 1-12 which we personally can't accept.. I mean its a tough job to look after and educate a child... so to have 1 teacher to look after 12 kids??? hmm..

(2) Location
Cannot be too ulu lah... at least accessible by public transport.

(3) Discipline system
At least have a sound system where the kids are punished accordingly.

(4) Curriculum

(5) Cost

(6) feel
Most impt is the feel lah... as in the feel that u got when you step into the centre... We went to some branded ones where everything seems so atas... but the prob is that you can see that the teachers kinda don't have a good means to manage the kids... well.. at least that's what i tot for the 1 hr that i was there... and there were also branded centres where i saw a kid sitting outside the class prob as a punishment with his pants wet with pee and no teachers taking noticed!

So one of the centres that we went to was Brainy Child Montessori, the place at first glance is rather old and is situated in a sleazy building in Orchard. But during my short 1 hr stay, the teachers and kids really gave me a very family feel to the enrichment centres. One of the reason that attracts me to the school is that besides teaching Eng and Chi, they also taught Jap languages! From my chit chat with the principal and my observations, the teachers are from all over the world(Canada, Jap.. etc) and so are the kids, its pretty cute to see little Ang Mohs and during chinese lessons, they actually could speak rather ok chinese languages.
Oh, the teacher to kids ratio is 1 : 6 with i think is pretty good! Cost wise, unfortunately there is no subsidy for working mum as its considered an enrichment centre rather than child care.. Fee isn't very cheap but we decided to bite the bullet and enrol her for the Jan intake..

Oh.. and she's suppose to take a trial lesson unaccompanied by parents to determine whether she's ready for next yr class and as we expected, she's totally ready.. and din throw a fuss for the 1.5 hrs! The power of kiddos going to Sunday church!
