Its midweek and Oh No!! Mama is sick and I'm running a high fever too!!!

sometimes it can be pretty challenging being a dad to Naomi especially in the discipline department.
Last night, as per our daily routine, Wifey will bring Naomi into the bedroom to accompany and make her sleep but after abt 30 mins, Wifey came out of the room saying that Naomi's insisting that she wants me to sleep with her instead. Well, for those that doesn't know, Naomi's a MUMMY GAL whenever she wants to sleep so I was pleasantly surprised that I'm wanted. :) But the thing is when I bring Naomi back to the bedroom, she keeps crying that she wants Wifey instead.. :(

Apparently this is not the 1st time that she tells little 'lies'... so in the end, i gotta calm her down and talked to her nicely that papa & mama don't like her to lie.. Well, I did ask whether she understand and i got a crying yes even though i dunno whether she really understand or not.. I guess i just gotta be patient.

Sometimes there's really a urge to resort to caning... Its proven that she's afraid of the cane but personally i can't bring myself to cane Naomi so i always tells her that " papa don't wish to use the cane on you but you will need to be a good girl"... well, sometimes it works.. sometimes not.

Oh.. and it doesn't help that Naomi idolized one of his uncle who unfortunately does not have the best of attitude when its comes to communication.. well... I'm still monitoring the situation and if i do sense Naomi picking up such stuff, I may need to have a private chat with the uncle.

my FINAL sem is gonna start real real soon and the final paper will be on the 2nd Dec... and afterwhich i'm gonna finally graduate(if nothing goes wrong.. choy choy..)! The 2 modules that I'm taking this sem are real boring... some computing imaging and silicon technology... well.. sometimes i really ask myself why am I in the engineering line??? WHY!!!

5th Wedding Anniversary

Time flies.. and its already been 5 years of marriage for wifey and me.
Course of true love never did run smooth and it also applies to our marriage..
We have our good days, we have our bad days.. There are ups and of course, there are downs.
At the end of day, everyday we learnt more abt each other.. and I would say that things will only improve with time. I'm blessed to have a thoughtful and beautiful wife who in turn blessed me with a sweet and cheeky little naomi. To more years ahead, Wifey! :)

Naomi is a sucker for playground.. in the sense that she loves playground and her huge eyes lights up whenever she sees one! So last fri evening, I decided to bring her to the playground near my in law place for some playtime. Can see that she clearly enjoyed herself and she was following the kor kor, jie jie that were playing there as well.. She will go "Kor Kor, Jie Jie".. but other than that she's pretty shy and just likes to monitor and follow them around.

Wifey at the office for the entire saturday and I was thinking where to bring Naomi to.. So we decided to hit the zoo again... Yes, this is our 2nd visit in weeks.. and well, since we paid for the Friends of the Zoo package, there's unlimited entry for a year + free parking.. so I figure that we'll just drive there, spend an hr or 2 viewing some animals and then make our way home.

As usual, I asked Naomi what animals she would like to see and the 1st animal that she mentioned is MONKEY followed by ELEPHANT.. so today our focus was only on MONKEY and ELEPHANT.. prob is that the dist between the monkey and elephant enclosure is rather far and Naomi pretty much wants me to carry her most of the time... so its quite siong for me... but then again, I dun mind carrying her.. its like.. she's not gonna wan me to carry her when she's much older right? haaha.. And so Naomi had her time admiring the monkeys and elephants and we also spend some time at the Polar Bear enclosure which i thought is pretty cool before we made our way home... Great bonding period, i would say. Cheers to Sat and more cheers to Sun.

Again, I thank God for blessing me with Miao and Naomi... Now my life is complete.
GOD keeps me on the right track always.

Naomi is blessed to have wonderful Godpas who loves her so much that they bought a huge lego set for her for apparently no reasons! Oh.. and now i will be hearing lotsa lego lego lego whenever i'm home. haha..

I am blessed...
I am blessed because even though i have a very very bad day at work this week, GOD gave me a beautiful child that turns my unhappiness into laughter and a wonderful wife that buys cheezels and ice cream for me knowing that I'm not having a good week.

Sent the car for Timing belt assembly today.. Package cost a whopping S$480 before gst..
Time to eat grass again~

driving is really really expensive... Tmr due to change the timing belt and its gonna cost me $400 at least.. argh...

Life is like that.. just when u thought u managed to save some money, definitely there's another avenue to drain it away... and best thing? u can't do anything abt it. sucks!

Managed to have lunch with my mum today after my 'labour law' paper today.. Met up at bugis, knew that my mum would generally prefer to have non chinese cuisine when dining out since she have been cooking chinese food for us almost her entire life! Asked her to choose Jap or Ang Moh food and we ended up at NYDC. Mum's pulled pork burger was nice and I find my mac n cheese very brilliantly done too... Overall it was a real real nice lunch outing with my mum.. Can hardly recall when was the lunch time that I took time off from work to dine with my mum... Even she was surprised by saying that yest I went home to eat liao, how come today meeting again... but i knew that she enjoyed this mother-son lunch today. :)
I love my folks... hope that they will stay healthy forever.

To do list 2014

By 2014, I should have finally completed my part time studies at NUS and so here's my wishlist or rather To do list for 2014.

(1) Sydney/Mel trip with Wifey and Naomi.
(2) Take up either boxing or MMA lessons for fitness.
(3) Pass my PMP certification.
(4) Spend more bonding/quality time with Naomi.
(5) Pick up new skills(eg baking).

Past weekend happenings

Fri nite
Did a pretty solid nite ride with my buddy from 630pm till 1215am.. Technically my 2nd long ride on my drop bar and although i'm still not very used to it and its still causing aches to my body, I think i'm slowly getting the hang of it..

Sat
Finally Naomi got her final Jab for the time being... and the next Jab is scheduled only when she's in Pri 1. :)
Naomi went into the doc room and started saying "bu yao" "bu yao" cos she remembered getting her previous jab at this same clinic.. And as usual the doc whips out his ipad and tried to use cartoons to distract Naomi which i guess works for most kids, but for Naomi wise, we don't allow her to watch TV or use any electronic devices at home so it doesn't really work for her... cry n cry... and the jab is finally administrated! Doc gave Naomi a colourful plaster and its all good. :)

Spend a day at MBS with family due to some good deal that we had... Chaotic i would say... but as long as Naomi had fun, I'm happy.

Morning Brekkie @ Riders cafe!

Very hard to find time on a sat morning but we managed to squeeze some time for breakfast @ riders.. always wanted to bring Naomi here to look at horses.. Managed to make a reservation for 915am and its strange that when i called, i was told that its full house but when i tried to reserve online, i actually could get seats... hmm... anyway.. we had great breakfast there and i think Naomi had a great time there too looking at the horses and wanting to touch them... everything was perfect except for the nasty mosquito bite that Naomi got!
