I think one of the toughest thing I've yet to really learn well is in disciplining my own kid. There are many times when i felt that I don't wanna be the shouting and caning kinda parents.. but to stick to my principle of talking to my kid nicely and explaining in a calm manner when she did something wrong but its really not easy.. .. Perhaps I've been too friendly and nice till Naomi always try to play punk with me? hmm..
Just this morning, Wifey gave Naomi a bread which she bought last nite and when I was telling Naomi to say 'thank you'.. she simply refuses and turns away from me.. and when i asked and insisted again, she just breaks down and cry loudly.. Tried talking to her but she just couldn't stop crying... till i carried her to the room so that her cries doesn't wake the whole block up.. Raised my voice with the cane in my hand and still she refuses to apologize or acknowledge that she's wrong.. Bo pian.. I gotta rush for work so MIL came in and feed Naomi.. and Naomi refuses to look at me when she was holding her milk bottle.. haiz.. Gotta say its kinda heart breaking but certain things must really be taught from young.. I can't just let her do what she wants and grow up to be a spoilt brat.. Just perhaps i need to fine tune and see how I shld go abt to teach and discipline her effectively..
