Jusco

and so today colleagues and I made a trip to JB via the train..

Yup, we wanted to have a train ride before the Tanjong Pagar Station is relocated.
Woke up at 515 and left my place at 545 to catch the MRT..
Have nt waked up so early for a long long time...

Had BF at City Sq, Old town white coffee..
Waited more than 30mins for our food..
and the food sucks big time..
coffee and toast both lukewarm!

Took a red/white cab to Jusco for 15rm where we shopped and had our late lunch at Nandos...
Very cheap compared to Sin...
and very delicious too!

On our way back, there was no taxi inside Jusco and so we went to the road sides to wait for cab.
saw a few cab but we were ushered to 2 blue colour cab..

Ok.. once inside, we realized that its a bit more comfy than the red one..
but meter starts at 6rm instead of 3rm..
we thought its ok lah.. maybe cos its considered a premium cab..
then as we were on the expressway, we realized that the speed of the meter is also premium...
Its like 20 cents every 5 bloody sec!
yes, we actually timed the counter more than once from 2 different watches...

And we reached city sq with the taxi fare being 33rm..
this is more than twice the fare that we early took with the red cab.
Before I leave the cab, i asked the driver
Me:" Blue cab is more expensive than red cab issit"
driver:"Yes"
Me:"Your meter is running at 20 cents per 5 sec!"
driver:"Yes, its like that one"
I was pretty mad.. but what to do, in a foreign land...
Then i realized that their local don't take the blue cab at all...

Well.. I suppose they see us as non locals and just wanna chop us carrot head..
lesson learnt the hard way...
