Took part in my 1st ever Ride to Sunrise event yesterday.. It was a 79km nite ride and it starts at ecp and ends at Jalan Besar. The weather was pretty good in the afternoon till it started to rain heavily from 4pm onwards.. Luckily the heavy downpour turns into slight drizzle at around 7pm and we were able to meet up at Buangkok and ride to Ecp together. the ride to ecp was super scary as the pavement was super wet and my rear wheel skidded at least 3 times... Really had to be super careful and ride super slow.
Anyway the event started rolling at 10pm and we reached our first rest point at changi village at around 11+... Pretty crazy to have an hour break before ride resume... Next check point was punggol park and again, the duration of the rest was 1 hr.. I was thinking, at this rate, we are gonna reach the finishing earliest by 7am and I am gonna be a zombie the next day. Thus I chose to break away at the yishun route and reached home by 430am. And after 3 hrs of Zzz, I heard a little gal shouting, Papa wake up go church!!!!!
